This premium tallow soap loaf weighs approximately 2.90 lb and arrives sealed in food-grade shrink wrap. Size of loaf is 10"L x 2.75"W x 3"H. Cut it yourself with a sharp knife, or choose our cutting service ($5 per loaf) for ten 1-inch bars stacked together (not individually sealed). We offer no exceptions to the above. We also offer a nice soap cutter for purchase. Soap Saver Dishes are also available. Store your soap in any plastic resealable container.
Years ago when many people had farms and raised their own cattle they would make their own Tallow Soap by rendering beef fat. While the soap had (and still has) a tendency to be difficult to lather, the resulting lather once produced was full of natural rich emollients and was predominately used for moisturizing the skin and helping with eczema.
OUR TALLOW IS FROM GRASS FED BEEF
Some soap makers add only a tiny bit of tallow to their so called tallow bars and make up the rest of the bar with palm oil and other oil fillers, then pass the bar off as "Tallow Bar Soap". Why do they do this? Because Premium Tallow is expensive! And apparently they do not mind misleading the consumer. I will have none of that!
My Premium 100% Tallow Hand Bar Loaf is made with only Tallow and lye. The lye turns the tallow into soap and glycerine. After the soap making process no lye remains, just a hard white Tallow Soap great for your skin!
My premium quality Tallow Hand Bar Loaf is a very hard soap so it will take a little more effort than a soft bar of soap to create lather however when you get it going the resulting lather is very rich and great for your skin! And the bar lasts an incredibly long time due to its hardness.

Nothing but beef tallow touches this skin from now on. I use tallow in my hair and moisturizer and aftershave. And tallow soap (with an exfoliating hand towel) to scrub off the day. It's very light and silky. I use it to shave, too. So glad to have found this product.
I take this tallow soap to work with me, it is better for my hands than the detergents they have available there, I am not a dish.
If you have any kind of dry skin or eczema then this is the soap to get. Its very nourishing and moisturizing. Its also simply terrific as a shampoo. You wont find soap like this anywhere else.
As the description states, this soap is hard and will likely last a long time. That said, it can be worked into a great lather. I have been using the bar as shampoo by rubbing it directly on my hair then lathering up. Works great and my hair looks and feel good too.
Doesn’t lather up as easy as a run of the mill body wash but a fair trade off knowing it’s made of a few simple ingredients, also noticed my skin is less dry after showering with this soap. Will be ordering more.
