I've been making tallow soap since I learned from my grandmother over 50 years ago. The first soap I ever made was lard soap, and I now make the best all natural tallow soap you can buy. This is traditional soap-making at its finest—the way it was done for centuries before commercial manufacturers started cutting corners.

Why Grass-Fed Beef Tallow?

We use 100% grass-fed beef tallow because it's the highest quality fat available for soap-making. Grass-fed tallow contains higher concentrations of vitamins A, D, E, and K, plus conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) that nourishes and protects your skin.

The vast majority of soap manufacturers don't use tallow at all anymore—they use cheap synthetic detergents and call it "soap." Those that do use tallow typically source it from factory-farmed cattle fed grain and antibiotics. We go out of our way to use locally sourced, grass-fed beef tallow. The difference in quality is substantial.

Tallow soap creates a rich, creamy lather that cleanses deeply without stripping your skin's natural oils. It's naturally moisturizing in a way that vegetable-oil-only soaps simply cannot match.

We make our soaps the way they were made generations ago—by hand, in small batches, with the highest quality ingredients available. Much better than anything you could ever buy in a store.

To Cut Or Not To Cut, That Is The Question...

Each soap loaf is approximately 2.90 lb and arrives as a single solid loaf. You can cut it yourself with a sharp knife into bars of whatever size you prefer, or choose our cutting service and we'll cut it into 10 bars for you.

Use sparingly and it will last a long time. Store your soap in any plastic resealable container or on a well-drained soap dish to extend its life between uses.

Do you use lye in your soap?
Lye is required to make real soap through the saponification process, which converts oils into soap and naturally occurring glycerin. No lye remains in the finished product. Without lye, you don't have soap—you have detergent.

Is this soap vegan?
No. Our beef tallow soap is made with grass-fed beef tallow (rendered animal fat). For those seeking vegan options, we also offer vegetable-oil-based soap loaves made with extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil.
